Jo-anna Rice Horn of Philadelphia, PA passed away on April 10th, 2025, at the age of 81.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Olga Rice, and the longtime wife of William Horn for 58 years.

After she graduated from Friends Central School in 1961, Jo-anna attended the University of Pennsylvania where she obtained Master's Degrees in English and Education.

She is survived by her husband; her sons Evan (Rebecca), Dylan (Stacey) and Tristram (Annmarie); and her grandchildren Molly, Isabella, Hailey, Aydan and Shane.

Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service at Oliver H. Bair Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. on May 1st, with an hour preceding the service to greet the family.  A private burial will follow.  in lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Christian Aid Ministries or The Wistar Institute.
