William J. Gleason (Wilbur), of East Lansdowne, passed away at Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse in Philadelphia on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. He was 61 years old. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Elaine Gerhard of Downingtown and the late William Gleason. In addition to his mother Elaine, Billy is survived by his daughters Maureen Govan (Michael) of Newtown Square and Kelly Gleason of Folsom; grandchildren Michael and Hannah; sister Patricia "Patsy" A. Garr; and nephew John Gleason and niece Lori Doherty. He was predeceased by his brother John Gleason in 1988 and will also be dearly missed by Margie. A viewing will be held from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at The Oliver H. Bair Funeral Chapel, 8500 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. Funeral Service at 3:00pm with Interment to follow the service in Montrose Cemetery, Upper Darby, PA.
