William D. Daws, Jr., of Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 13, 2026. He was 79 years old.

Born in Darby, Pennsylvania, Bill was the son of Mary (Monaghan) and William D. Daws. He graduated from St. Thomas More High School with the Class of 1965 and attended Delaware County Community College.

Bill served in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1970, attaining the rank of Lance Corporal. A Vietnam veteran, he continued his dedication to fellow veterans as commander and caretaker of the VFW post in Eddystone.

He is survived by his brother, John; his sons, William III, Shawn, their mother Jo Ann, and Michael; and his daughter, Nicole. He was preceded in death by his wives, Irene and Sharon.

Interment with military honors will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940, on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 10:00am.
