Edward V. "Vince" McCole, 83, of Upper Darby, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015 at Taylor Hospice. He was the beloved husband of Marian (Groff) McCole and son of the late Daniel and Mary (McAteer) McCole. Vince was a graduate of St. Thomas More and served in the US Army Reserves during the Korean War. He had a longtime career as a forklift operator and retired in 1996. He also served as an usher at St. Laurence Roman Catholic Church for many years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Edward "Vince" McCole (Nancy) of Upper Darby and Dennis E. McCole (the late Debbie) of Tinicum; two daughters Cathy (McCole) Miller (Ken) of Quakertown and Bernadette (McCole) Palasch (the late Corey) of Upper Darby; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He is predeceased by his infant son Leo, five brothers, and two sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 6 PM to 8 PM at The Oliver H. Bair Funeral Home, 8500 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Laurence Roman Catholic Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. A viewing will precede Mass from 9:30 AM to 10:20 AM at the church. Interment in Montrose Cemetery, Upper Darby, at a later date.
