Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Laurence W. McAllister and Gloria M. (Labovich) McAllister.

Mr. McAllister worked as a research chemist for the pharmaceutical company Merck in Union, New Jersey. He received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Drexel University in 1984 and a Master's in chemistry from Temple University.

In addition to his parents, he is also survived by one brother Matthew L. McAllister of Presque Isle, Maine.

A funeral Mass celebrating Mr. McAllister's life will be held on Monday, May 17, 2010 at 10:30AM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, South 46th St., Philadelphia. Inurnment will be in Montrose Cemetery, 8504 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA.
