Thomas Smith, 77; beloved son, husband, father, grandfather; was called to his eternal resting place on October 2, 2024. He entered this world on April 27, 1947 in Des Moines, IA, born to William and Katherine Smith.

He married his wife, Diane Fornwalt, on June 13, 1970 in Bryn Mawr, PA. They spent their lives together in Malvern, PA.

Thomas served active duty in the Army from May 18, 1969 until January 7, 1976 as a Captain. Retiring from the Army Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel. He continued to work after retiring as an instructor in project management at various universities.

He is survived by his daughter Michelle Olney; son-in-law David Olney; son Wesley Smith; daughter-in-law Jennifer Smith; grandsons Kristopher Smith (wife Shirley), Brandon Lytle and Blake Lytle; granddaughter Alexandra Smith; and three great-grandsons Theodore, Timothy, and Johnathan Smith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Smith, father, William Smith, and wife, Diane Smith.
