Sylvia Rose Kozak, 78, of Exeter, PA passed away on May 13, 2023 at Suburban Hospital, Norristown, PA, surrounded by family.  She was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on May 16, 1944, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Ann (Czachur) Stefanowicz.  Sylvia was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School and worked for many years as a restaurant server and homemaker.  She loved her trips to Atlantic City, being around family, and was a crossword puzzle master.

She was preceded in death by her children Michael Kozak, Barbara Kozak, and Richelle Metzger.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Ann Maguire (Mark) of Exeter, Michelle Syms of Plains, and Wayne Kozak of Ashley; brothers, Frank and John Stefanowicz; sisters, Barbara Zirnhelt and Regina Beamesderfer; several grandchildren; and great grandchildren.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Suburban Hospital and Compassus Hospice for all of the comfort and compassionate care provided to our mom.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11:00am at Back Mountain Harvest Church, Carverton Road, Dallas, PA.
