Sumiko Hamasaki, of Philadelphia, passed away in her home on January 20, 2014. She was 86 years old. Born in Fresno, California, Ms. Hamasaki was the daughter of the late Tetsuo and Fusaye (Teraishi) Hamasaki. Ms. Hamasaki worked as a hairdresser and is survived by her three brothers, two sisters, and a special niece. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 4:15 PM at the Oliver H. Bair Funeral Chapel, 8500 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. A visitation with the family will precede the service from 3 PM to 4:15 PM. Arrangements are by The Oliver H. Bair Funeral Home.
