Robert G. Ellison, Sr., of Springfield, died on October 17, 2011. He was 87. Born in Pottsville, Mr. Ellison was the loving husband of the late Marirose Bonham Ellison. He served in the US Army during WWII, fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was active with the VFW and American Legion. Mr. Ellison was also a retired Foreman with Philadelphia Electric Co. Mr. Ellison is survived by his children Robert Jr. (Caroline) of Berwyn; Nancy (Tony) Gehring and Kenneth both of Phila. and 9 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his children Kathy, Frankie and Richard. Services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 10AM at Washington's Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, Pennsylvania.
