Robert Lee Cauthen. Born January 7, 1953 to Caldwell and Vivian Cauthen in Southern Pines, NC.  Robert departed this life on October 29, 2022 at the Hospital University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on April 29, 1971 and was honorably discharged on April 28, 1977.  Robert enjoyed life. He liked to joke with his buddies and anyone who would listen to his tall tales. He was a loving father to his two children, Samia Stokes and Raheem Stokes, and grandfather to Ayden Stokes and Massiah Stokes.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Caldwell M. Cauthen, Jr. USMC, who died in Vietnam in 1967; brother Joseph J. Cauthen; two nephews; a niece; and several other relatives.

In addition to his two children and grandchildren, he leaves to cherish his memories five sisters, Myrtle Martin, Helen Terry, Rebecca Rogers, Carrie Cauthen, and Jasia Dowd; three brothers, Francis Cauthen, Jose Cauthen, and Tony Cauthen; two stepsisters, Joy Lister and Tracy Maddox; and stepbrother, Christopher Maddox.  He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and children that loved him like their own.

Relatives and friends are invited to a service celebrating Robert's life on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at The Oliver H. Bair Funeral Home, 8500 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082.  Interment will be private.
