Richard James Kwiat of Upper Darby passed away unexpectedly on October 14, 2024.  He was 71 years old.  Born in Utica, New York, he was the son of the late Edward Thaddeus and Gloria Stanislava (Borysewicz) Kwiat.

Rick earned his bachelor's degree from Philadelphia College of Bible (now known as Cairn University) and worked as a records analyst for the University of Pennsylvania.

He is survived by his two brothers, Robert Damian (Athena) of Anthem, AZ and Thomas Kwiat (Haechong) of Gig Harbor, WA; sister, Therese Marshall (Ken) of Utica, NY; two nephews, Christian Ambrose and Heath Marshall; two nieces, Audrey Kwiat and Joanna Kwiat; great-nephews, Trent, Joel, and Mason Marshall; and a great niece, Julianna Marshall. He also leaves a very special friend, Diane Jay, of PA.
