Philip Joseph Marbach, of Pennsburg, passed away at St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital on Monday, April 21, 2014. He was 72 years old. Born in Chicago, he was the son of the late Philip J. and Lorraine R. (Rutkowski) Marbach. He was also the beloved husband of Donna M. (Gabor) Marbach for 48 years. Mr. Marbach was a mechanical engineer with a professional engineer certification. He was a graduate of Purdue University. He served in the United States Coast Guard and retired from the Johnson & Johnson Company. He was also a member of the Society of St. Pius X and the coordinator of St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church in Eddystone, PA since 1995. Mr. Marbach was also a loving father to his six children: Michelle M. Foley (Thomas) of Perkiomenville, Paul J. Marbach (Gwen) of Washington Borough, PA, Karen L. Roseboro (David) of Reinholds, PA, Cheryl A. Kelly (Ryan) of Laramie, WY, Laura K. Byrne (Robert) of Pennsburg, and Michael P. Marbach (Michelle) of Harleysville, and devoted to his 32 grandchildren, who will miss him greatly. He is also survived by two sisters: Pam Kubacki (Ken) of Holly Spring, NC, Mary Beth Matela (Mike) of Westville, IN, and two brothers: Dennis (Dottie) Marbach of Bluffton, IN, and Robert (Katy) Marbach of Woodstock, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 3 PM to 5 PM at Monaghan Funeral Home, 612 Main Street, Red Hill, PA 18076 (next to Sands Ford). A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 10 AM at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, 1402 E. 10th Street, Eddystone, PA 19022. A viewing will precede Mass on Monday from 9 AM to 10 AM at the church. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Czestochowa, Doylestown, PA. Arrangements are by Monaghan Funeral Home. (215) 679-6400
