Merle E. Weeks, Sr., age 88, formerly of Ithaca, N.Y. and Allentown, died May 21 2015, at Weston Senior Living Center, Emmaus. He was the husband of the late Dorothy L. (Crance)Weeks, who died in 1979. Born in Trumansburg, NY, he was a son of the late Floyd and Nettie Weeks. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He enjoyed listening to the N.Y. Yankees and the Phillies. Surviving are four sons: Merle E., Jr. (Barbara), of Red Hill; John L. (Frieda), of Northampton; Ronald J. (Darleen), of Lansing, NY; and Michael T. (Donna); of Allentown; and grandchildren: Dustin Weeks, Andrea (Weeks) Hartman, Kevin Weeks, Rachel Weeks, and Zairien Weeks. He was predeceased by two brothers: Robert Weeks and Paul Weeks, and a sister, Mary (Weeks) Worden. Services and burial were private.
