Mrs. Mary E. Jones, 92, of Philadelphia passed away at Chestnut Hill Hospital on Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Born in Bronx, New York, she was the loving wife of the late Reverend Sercy Jones who passed away in 1967. She was also the daughter of the late Francis and Katherine Randolph. Mrs. Jones worked as a family social worker for many years. In addition to her husband and her parents, she is also predeceased by her son Randolph Jones. She is survived by her children Caroll Jones, Iris (Abram) Elijah, Francis R. Jones all of Philadelphia and Marcus (Regina) Jones of St. Louis, Missouri, 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A funeral service celebrating Mrs. Jones' life will be on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 11AM at Advocate St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, 5213 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. A viewing will precede the service from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at the church. Interment in Ivy Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by The Oliver H. Bair Co. (215) 563-1580.
