M. Elaine Wear, a resident of Lima Estates in Media for nearly 20 years, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2018.  She was 96 years old.  Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Evans and Marian (Feist) Wear.

Ms. Wear was a graduate of Kingston High School and worked for Mellon Bank as a bank teller until her retirement. She had a passion for music and dancing. She led the line dancers at Lima Estates for many years and was a member of the American Legion Post 214 Auxiliary in Upper Darby.

Ms. Wear is survived by her beloved son, George Hoover and his wife, Beverly, of Lansdale.  In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by her three sisters, Verna Lee (Wear) Yustat and her husband, Stanley W. Yustat; Patrica J. (Wear) Satcher and her husband, James Benton Satcher, Sr., and Virginia (Wear) Redlhammer and her husband, Eduardo Redlhammer.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in The Oliver H. Bair Funeral Chapel, 8500 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082.  A service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Chapel.  Interment in Montrose Cemetery, address above.  In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Folds of Honor, Department 13, Tulsa, OK 74182.
