Lorraine T. Ploppa of Havertown passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2026.  She was 80 years old. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Theresa (Maiorano) Sabatino.  She was also the beloved wife of the late Erich Ploppa, Sr.

Lorraine attended St. Laurence School in Upper Darby and graduated from Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School in Drexel Hill.  She went on to marry her husband of 51 years and they spent many wonderful years traveling the world.  Later in life, Lorraine enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Ben.

Lorraine is survived by her son, Erich Ploppa, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Jennifer, of Havertown; grandson, Ben Ploppa of Bryn Mawr; and brother, Rocco J. Sabatino, Jr. of Glenolden.
