Linda Yvonne Coston was the first of five children born to Clara Jeffries and the late James Jeffries, Sr. on June 10, 1948 in Philadephia, PA. Linda was baptized on July 1, 1962 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She attended the Cobbs Creek Congregation in Philadelphia at the time of her demise. Linda, would like her family and friends to remember her as one who loved life and laughter, but most of all, that she loved and served the Giver of Life, Jehovah God. Although we are saddened by the untimeliness of her death, we are thankful for the life we had with her. Linda was educated in the Public School System in Philadelphia. She worked as a data entry operator for the University of Pennsylvania, Girard Bank and State Comptroller's Office in Austin, TX. In her youth, she had a flair for fashion and cosmetics. She had a fondness for animals, which was evident throughout her life. She enjoyed writing letters and cards and will be remembered as being witty, often comical and outspoken. Linda enjoyed singing and dancing to her favorite recording artists such as the Delfonics and the Dramatics and sharing special moments with family and friends. Linda was especially drawn to young people, and they to her. She loved to pamper all those in her company. She sought every opportunity to share the truth with others, especially her children and her precious grandchildren. All who knew "Lynn", "LJ" or Mom, as she was affectionately called, knew her to be loving, thoughtful and compassionate. Despite her maladies, pain and suffering, she was a source of comfort and encouragement to those she loved. Frankly, Linda wouldn't have it any other way. Linda is survived by her children Sherri, Tyree, Collyn and Jasmin. Grandchildren Ryan, Payton and Cameron. Mother Clara Jeffries; Siblings James Jr., Michael, Terri and Connie; Special Brother-in-Law Hank; Carl and devoted friend Camille; Uncles, Aunts and Cousins and a host of friends. Linda also viewed as her children: Pam, Tyrone, Anthony, Tasha, Eleni and Shawana.
