He is survived by Betty L. Basel, his wife of 59 years.

Mr. Basel is also survived by his daughter Lisa Basel Brown and her husband Francis of Havertown, two grandsons Dylan and Joshua, sister Patricia Usher of Tonganoxie, KS and four nieces.

Interment will be on Fri., March 12, 2010 at 10:30am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, Pa. 18940.
