Leesah's Life Story

Leesah Guillaume was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 17, 1965 to Lucy Whitt and Lenard Wellen.  She was an only child.  Leesah graduated from Overbrook High School in West Philadelphia.  She received an Associate's degree from Community College of Philadelphia and also attended Pierce Junior College.  Leesah had many jobs, later working for the Bell Telephone Company.  She worked there 15 years until her health began to fail.

Leesah loved people.  She was kindhearted and would help anyone.  She liked cooking, bike riding, and all kinds of crafts.  Leesah leaves to cherish her memories her loving mother, Lucy Whitt, her best friend Katanja Vaughan, her Aunt Dorothy Harris, her uncle Solomon Rhodes (Carolyn), her cousins Reginald Jackson, Timothy Harris, Sharon Robinson, Alfred Harris Jr, and a host of cousins, friends, and loved ones. Leesah was loved by so many and she will be dearly missed.  Lovingly submitted by the family.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 10:00am-11:00am at Oliver H.
