Kathryn F. (nee Picard) Freedman, of Philadelphia and formerly of Rydal, passed away peacefully at St. John Neumann Center on July 24, 2024. She was 95 years old. Born in Black Horse, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine (nee Perpetua) Picard.  She was also the beloved wife of the late Jess Freedman.

Kathryn was a longtime employee of Genuardi Family Markets and later Giant Food Markets until her retirement.

She was also the loving mother of Kathryn Shilling, Lynne Deans, the late Lorraine "Lori" Snyder, and the late Steven J. Piazza; grandmother of numerous grandchildren; and sister of Theresa Cronin and Evelyn Melchiorre. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Jenkintown, PA 19046.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to St. John Neumann Center, 10400 Roosevelt Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19116-3905.
