Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of Robert Ellison of Springfield (Delco) and the late Florence Marie (Dee) Ellison. She is also survived by her three daughters, Amy Esposito and Kelly McDevitt, both of Downingtown and Katie McDevitt of Upper Darby; one sister, Nancy Gehring of Philadelphia, two brothers, Robert Ellison Jr. of Berwyn and Kenneth Ellison of Philadelphia, step-mother Marirose Ellison of Springfield as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Matthew T. Barnes and brothers Richard and Francis Ellison.

In Kathleen's memory, a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 PM/ noon on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA.
