On August 31, 2026, the world dimmed, because Kareem Eaves (aka) “Kareem the Dream” age 46, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania peacefully transitioned from this life.

God Blessed Kareem with two parents George L. and Elvira Ruise.

Kareem was a vibrant and energetic child, a little mischievous at times but nothing harmful. He had a joyful and kind heart which carried well into adulthood.

He really enjoyed helping others whenever he had the opportunity. One might find him doing anything from moving furniture to shoveling snow; lending a helping hand wherever possible. He would always say “If I can’t do it, I will find someone that can.”

Kareem was also a distributor of joy. He clearly understood that people are not always happy. Nevertheless, he'd try to bring out a smile. It didn't matter if it were causing a crying baby to laugh, encouraging a teenager for their uniqueness or doing something special for an elder. He would say, “everyone has something to bring to the table and there is always something to smile about.”

Kareem's favorite scripture was 1 Corinthians 13:11 "When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things." KJV His favorite worship song was: “No, Not One” which he tried singing if an elderly person he knew was really sad. He also liked Rap and Hip Hop music.

He really enjoyed going to the shore, visiting with friends and relatives, watching wrestling or a good football game. No matter where he was he would call his dad to make sure he was watching a wrestling match or enjoying his favorite football team.

Kareem was educated in the Philadelphia Public School system where he later became employed as a maintenance technician for thirteen years until he became ill. Kareem was a dedicated and upstanding employee who was well liked by staff and students. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish in his memory his beloved parents: George and Elvira Ruise; (Uncle) John D. Denny; (Aunts) Rose M. Denny, Saunta M. Hamilton, Vera D. Hamilton, Donna Cohen-Barr and a host of cousins, friends and extended family members.
