Julian Rodescu, 58, of Philadelphia, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 1, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Govatos and treasured father of their son Minh. Born in Bucharest, Romania, Julian received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Julliard School in New York. He was a critically acclaimed operatic bass, esteemed teacher and artistic director of Astral Artists. A funeral service celebrating Julian's life will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 11AM at St. Mark's Church, 1625 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA.
