John Deering's Obituary

John K. (Jack)Deering, of Elverson, husband of Elizabeth J. (Orrs) Deering, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020.  at his home.  Born in Harmonyville, Pennsylvania,  he was the son of the late Charles and Florence (Matthews) Deering.

Jack was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. Jack worked for many years at McCarter Corporation, in Norristown as a service rep., servicing and supervising erection of macadam plants and chocolate factories in the eastern United States

Jack was a member of the Birdsboro VFW, Post 411 and a Mason. Jack was a member of Lorane Bible Chapel.

Surviving with his wife are children, R. Benjamin Deering of Elverson, Rhonda E. Renninger of Elverson, step daughter Michelle Neyhard of Tennessee and step daughter Rene Millar of New Jersey two sisters, Nancy Valentine and Mary Krickzy, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Jack was an avid car racing fan and went to as many races as he could including the Indy 500.  He loved cars and loved working on them.  That was the most important thing in his life and he was ready to help anyone who had a car problem at any time.  He had many friends who helped him with cars and enjoyed his help when they needed it. He liked to travel and he and his wife enjoyed several cruises to the Caribbean, bringing back memories to share with the kids who lived with them.  Jack and his wife loved kids and many who stopped in to visit stayed to grow up here.  They all remember him fondly as a good friend and mentor.

Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, Richard Deering, C. Eugene Deering and Robert Deering.

Funeral services will be announced at a later date with a memorial service at the request of the family.
