Jessica Marie Gilbert of Philadelphia passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024, at the age of 49. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, and raised in Storrs, Connecticut, she spent the last years of her life in Philadelphia. She was the cherished daughter of Helen Garland (Nunley) Gilbert and the late Stephen James Gilbert.

Jessica attended the University of Connecticut and worked as a talented writer and actress. She had a deep love for music and was always happiest when attending concerts. A passionate reader, Jessica was a devoted mother to her beloved cats and dog, Mia. She was not only an incredible artist but also a loyal friend, an amazing sister, and a treasured daughter. Though her time with us was far too short, Jessica embraced life fully, dreaming big as an aspiring science fiction writer.

In addition to her mother, Helen of Colorado Springs, Jessica is survived by her sisters: Ashley Knocklein of Philadelphia, PA; Melissa Bird of Colorado Springs, CO; and Stephanie Marks of Culver City, CA; aunt, Pauline Saribas, uncle, Sami Saribas, cousin, Ali Saribas, extended family, and friends.
