Jane R. Traynor (nee Rickards)) 85, formerly of Ventnor City, NJ died peacefully on October 1, 2009 at St. Joseph's Manor in Huntingdon Valley, Pa. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Earnest who died in September of 1990. Born in Philadelphia on June 25, 1924, she was a daughter of John and Regina (Cullen) Rickards and for the last 40 years has lived in Ventnor City, NJ. Jane was a graduate of Hallahan HS in Philadelphia and she and her husband were in Real Estate in the Ventnor/Margate area for many years. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, John and Joseph, both of Philadelphia. She is survived by her close cousins, Robert Engle of Arkansas, Frances Conley of Ambler and Carolyn Cullen of Stroudsburg, Pa.. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 10:30 AM at St. Laurence RC Church 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, Pa. A viewing will be held at the church beginning at 9:30 AM until the funeral Mass. Burial will follow immediately after the Mass at Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill, Pa. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane's name may be made to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 12265 Townsend Road, Suite 400, Philadelphia, Pa 19154. Oliver H. Bair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
