James F. Gorman, of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully in his residence at the Holy Family Home in Philadelphia.  He was 89 years old.  Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Martin and Mary (Lynch) Gorman.

Mr. Gorman served in the United State Army and retired from Amtrak, where he worked in maintenance for many years.

He is survived by one sister, Betty Barron, of Philadelphia, and many nieces and nephews.  He is also predeceased by four siblings.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 10:30 AM in the Chapel at Holy Family Home, 5300 Chester Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19143.  A viewing will precede Mass from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the Chapel.  Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon.
