Jacqueline Raymond Polynice of Secane passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024. She was 90 years old. Born in Jacmel, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Julianna (Charles) and Lyn Raymond. She was also the beloved wife of the late Jacques Polynice who died in November 2000.
Jacqueline worked as a nurse's aide for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy in her spare time. She was a devout Catholic who loved saying the rosary and reading the Bible. She also loved talking about her favorite childhood memories with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Ronald Polynice of Haiti, Florence Polynice of Secane, Marie Polynice (Joseph) of Secane, Pierre Richard Polynice (Michele) of Canada, and Jean Polynice (Nadine) of Maryland; 15 grandchildren, Corine, Adams, Whitney, Soraya, Sabine, Jaslene, Mitchell, Ridge, Shana, Karlton, Peter, Johnson, Tachana, Kerry, and Karens; two great grandchildren; sisters, Steline, Mariline, Adeline, Suze, and Pauline; brothers, Racine, Rollin, Pascarin, Paul Hilaire, and Hygin; cousins, Jean Marie Raymond, Hirma Edme, Ponpon Edme, Yvrose Polynice, Lucia, and Chimene; and many nieces and nephews, and many extended relatives. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Lesly Polynice.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 9:00am to 10:00am at The Oliver H. Bair Funeral Home, 8500 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. A funeral service will begin at 10:00am in the funeral home. Livestreaming will be available at the following link: Funeral Livestream for Jacqueline Polynice and begin at 10:00am. Interment will immediately follow the service in the adjoining Montrose Cemetery. A repast will take place in the Parish Hall of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 199 W. Baltimore Pike, Clifton Heights, PA 19018.
