Irene A. Daws's Obituary

Irene A. Daws, of Downingtown, passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2020.  She was 71 years old.  Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Irene (Jacyszyn) Cherkas.
Irene worked as a court administrator for Chester County until her retirement. She was an avid horticulturalist, who often volunteered as a member of the local horticultural society.
She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Daws (Tom), of Swedesboro, NJ; son, Michael Daws, of Havertown; five granddaughters, Skyler, Summer, Trinity, Lola, and Ireland; and one sister, Rose Cherkas, of Broomall.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her two brothers, John and Peter Cherkas.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Oliver H. Bair Funeral Chapel, 8500 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082.  A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 AM.  Interment in Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Irene's name are requested to be donated to Fox Chase Cancer Center , Of fi ce o f I n stitut i on a l Ad v a n c em e n t, 3 3 3 C o ttm a n Ave n u e, P h ila d e l ph ia , PA 1 9 1 1 1.
