Henry Weldon Rogers's Obituary

Henry is the very much adored son of Kathleen Rogers and Sandy Rogers (Laing). He is survived by his parents and his brothers Clark Rogers and George Rogers, his grandparents Barbie and Bill Claggett, Weldon Rogers, Penny Rogers, and Thomas Vild, and his aunts and uncles, Didi Bowers (Ros), Caroline Rogers, Sarah Rogers, and Chris Vild (Jess), and their loving families. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Marilyn Vild.

Henry was a senior at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business where he was a former captain of the heavyweight rowing team and a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. Henry was raised in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from John Burroughs School in 2014. At Burroughs, he was an avid athlete, playing football and basketball, and rowing on the St. Louis Rowing team.

He was adored by his family, his classmates and his friends everywhere. His boundless spirit and endless enthusiasm defined his approach to life and friendships. Henry lived each moment to the fullest, leaving nothing behind, and was an inspiration to us all.

Loving, loyal, and generous of spirit, Henry had a multitude of treasured friends from Community School, John Burroughs School, and the University of Pennsylvania. Among the great joys in his short life were the time spent with his family, the camaraderie he felt with his teammates, and the memories collected during his cherished summers at the Belvedere in Charlevoix, Michigan.
