Helen Louise Hannon, age 96, passed away on May 17, 2013 at Riddle Village in Media, Pennsylvania. Born in Ashland, Schuylkill County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah McCauley. Helen worked for the Federal Government as a systems controller for 35 years and received numerous awards in recognition for her outstanding work. In her spare time she loved attending the Ballet and opera, reading, and traveling. She was also a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Philadelphia, where she served as Deacon. She also loved her family and being the best GG to her five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. Helen is survived by her devoted daughter Rose Anne Dunn and her husband James W. Dunn, Jr.; five grandchildren Susan Joy, James Robert, Thomas Mathew, John Patrick and Sarah Elisabeth; eight great grandchildren Christopher, Matthew, Helene, Philip, Brianna, Brittney, Amanda, and Abigail; and eight great-great grandchildren Aaron, Ethan, Aidan, Olivia, Tyler, Brady, Carter, and Leona. A Funeral Service will be held at 7PM on Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Oliver H. Bair Funeral Home, 8500 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. A viewing and visitation with the family will precede the service from 5PM to 7PM at the funeral home. A private interment will take place in Christ Church Cemetery in Fountain Spring, Pennsylvania.
