Harry S. Brown, 84, of Yeadon, passed away on January 6, 2019. He was born in Rock Hall, MD on May 22, 1934 to the late Osborne and Lucille (James) Brown. He was also the beloved husband of Maxine (Miller) Brown for 53 years.
Harry retired from the United States Air Force after 38 years of service. He owned Harry Brown's Hauling Company for 30 years and was a devoted member of Yeadon Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Hal Brown, of Yeadon, and Timothy Brown (Sam), of Cary, NC; two daughters, Kimberly Brown, of Yeadon, and Annette Brown, of Baltimore; three grandchildren, Leela Brown, of San Jose, CA, Marcus Brown and Isabella Brown, both of Cary, NC; two sisters, Ruth Brown, of Yeadon, and Arlene Waters, of Chester; one brother, Mason Terrance, of Media; sister-in-law, Verlin Bostwick, of Yeadon; two brothers-in-law, Glen and James Miller, of Knoxville, TN; two nephews, Charles Bostwick, Jr. and David Bostwick; niece, Wanda Reeves (Alvin); many cousins and extended relatives.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, January 10th from 5PM to 7PM at the Oliver H. Bair Funeral Chapel, 8500 W. Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. A prayer service will follow at 7PM in the chapel. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, January 11th at 10:30AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in Harry's name to the American Heart Association, 1617 JFK Blvd., Ste. 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
