George W. Ramsey, Jr. passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026, at 9:10 a.m. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was 68 years old.

George was named after his father, George W. Ramsey, Sr., and was the beloved son of Sarah Mae Ramsey. Born and raised in Philadelphia, George had a warm and gentle spirit that touched everyone he met. He was known for his infectious smile, always finding a reason to bring joy and happiness to those around him.

George had a true love for the arts and simple pleasures in life. He enjoyed drawing, expressing his creativity through are, and had a special fondness for dancing and music, which brought him endless joy. He also cherished long conversations on the phone with loved ones, and had a unique love for phone books – a small quirk that made him who he was.

George is survived by his four siblings: Juanita Ramsey, Robert Ramsey, Eugene Ramsey, and Jimmy Ramsey.

George’s warmth, humor, and constant smile will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and joy that will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Rest peacefully, George. Your smile will never be forgotten.

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 10am at The Oliver H. Bair Funeral Home, 8500 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. A funeral service will follow at 11am in the funeral home. Interment will be in the adjoining Montrose Cemetery.
