Faye Audrey Clark of Haverford, Pennsylvania and formerly of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024.  She was 90 years old.  Born in Houston, she was the daughter of the late Pearl (Morgan) and Garfield Clark, Sr.  She was formerly married to the late James Simples, Sr.

Faye's first love was education, which began during her studies at Texas Southern University, Prairie View A&M University, and Harvard University.  She was a highly respected educator, counselor, and administrator for the Houston Independent School District.  Her fondest memories were in the classroom, and she instilled her passion for education in her children and grandchildren.  In her spare time, Faye enjoyed cooking, shopping, serving as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and spending time with family and friends.  She leaves to cherish her memory, her three loving children, Dr. Roni Glover (the late Dr. Hubert Glover) of Haverford, Dr. Patricia Simples of Chicago, and Dr. James E. Simples, Jr. (Kelli Simples) of Haverford; six grandchildren, Jason Glover (Amal Nait Hammou), Chanel Glover, Audrey Simples, James Simples, III and Terrence Strong; two great grandchildren, Elijah Darnell Glover and Kofi Jamal Glover; and nieces, Angela Patrick & Elena Patrick, and grandniece, Angie Patrick.  In addition, she was predeceased by her siblings, Garfield Clark, Jr., Myrtle Patrick, and Marietta Clark.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Oliver H. Bair Funeral Home, 8500 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00pm.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Faye's name are requested to The Children's Defense Fund .  Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Oliver H.
