Emilio E. Nardi, of Philadelphia, passed away on December 31, 2019 at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Veteran Center in Spring City.  He was 95 years old.  Born in Castel di Lama, Ascoli Piceno, Italy, he was the son of the late Nicola and Maria (DiLorenzo) Nardi.

Emilio proudly served in the US Army during World War II.  He also worked as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service until his retirement. In his younger days, he loved playing soccer.  He later began playing golf, which he enjoyed until he was 90 years old.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Marie DiGiacomo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 10, 2019 at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Emilio's name are requested to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005, or online here.
