Elizabeth Carleton High's Obituary

Elizabeth Carleton High, 29, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. A native of Dallas, TX, Elizabeth grew up in Victoria, TX, Jackson, TN, and Memphis, TN. She received the Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in 2003. She completed a double major in History and European Studies with honors, as well as a minor in German. In 2009, Elizabeth earned the Juris Doctor degree from the Beasley School of Law at Temple University where she was the recipient of numerous awards and honors. Elizabeth was an attorney at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP, in Philadelphia, PA.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her mother, Carleton Nuckolls. She is survived by her brother James Roscoe High of Atlanta, GA, uncle and aunt Dr. J. William and Ellen Nuckolls of Pine Bluff, AR, and first cousins Lee Nuckolls of Salt Lake City, UT, and Sarah Nuckolls of Whitefish, MT. Funeral services are Friday, November 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Philadelphia, PA. A visitation with the family will precede the service at 9:30 AM. Burial will be at a later date in Hollywood Cemetery in Jackson, TN.
