Edwin Albert Hoover, of Merion Station, passed away on February 28, 2017.  He was 85 years old.  Born in Philadelphia on June 29, 1931, he was the son of the late Edwin and Adelaide (Van Hasselt) Hoover.

Ed proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Army and worked for many years as a jeweler.  He is survived by his two sisters, Andrea Preston-McNamara and Lynn Hoover; nieces, Lisa Kelso and Judy Hanson; and nephews, Nicholas Hoover, Gregory Hoover, Donald Hoover, Michael Preston, and Wayne Reinert.

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.  In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to Lisa Kelso, 218 Parkview Drive, Phoenixville, PA 19460, to purchase a memorial bench in Ocean City, NJ.
