Mr. Edward W. Lonergan, of Center City, Philadelphia, passed away in his home on Sunday, February 15, 2015. He was 90 years old. Born in Roslindale, Massachusetts, he was the beloved husband of Lucyann (Desborough) Lonergan. He was also the son of the late Francis A. and Helen S. (Allendorff) Lonergan. Mr. Lonergan served in the United States Army during World War II. He was also an underwriter for General Accident Insurance in Philadelphia and an accomplished bassoonist. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his one brother Frank, of Massachusetts; and one niece, Midi, of Narberth. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 12 Noon at St. Mark's Church, 1625 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103. Inurnment will follow in the Church columbarium.
