Dorothy Mae
Branch
January 9, 1943 – February 28, 2026
Dorothy Mae Branch, born on January 9, 1943, in Franklin County, was a radiant soul whose presence filled every room with warmth and personality. She was the beloved daughter of the late Dorothy Hinton and Kenneth Branch, and from the very beginning, her life was a testament to quiet strength and enduring spirit.
In 1997, Dorothy entered Horizon House and made Domino Lane her cherished home. It was there that her vibrant personality truly shined. Affectionately crowned the "Queen of the House," Dorothy carried herself with a gentle dignity and a touch of sass that made her unforgettable. Though she spoke no words, she never needed to—her expressive eyes, heartfelt smiles, and signature lip smacks spoke volumes. With a single glance or playful expression, Dorothy could brighten a day, offer her approval, or lovingly let you know exactly how she felt.
Dorothy had a remarkable way of connecting with those around her. Her affectionate nature wrapped staff and residents alike in a sense of belonging and joy. She formed deep bonds with her caregivers, who became her extended family over the years. To know Dorothy was to love her, and to care for her was an honor.
Her passing leaves a space that cannot be filled. Coming into the home will never feel quite the same. Dorothy's spirit, however, will forever remain in the hearts of the devoted staff who cherished her daily smiles, her sweet sass, and the unspoken love she shared so freely. Dorothy Mae Branch will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever celebrated as the true Queen of Domino Lane.
