Doris Mae (Feathers) Lambert, of Coatesville, passed away with her family by her side on July 28, 2022. She was 79 years old. Born in Collingdale, she was the daughter of the late Lance Feathers and Mabel (Jones) Oxley and stepdaughter of the late Esten Strickland. She was also the beloved wife of Richard P. Lambert.

Doris worked as a secretary and later a bus driver for nearly 28 years until her retirement. She was a longtime member of the Downingtown Moose Lodge and faithful member of Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Coatesville where she enjoyed Bible study. She also loved dancing, camping, socializing, and being in the presence of family and friends.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her three children, William G. Ellis, Jr. (the late Rebecca) of Jacksonville, FL, James Ellis (Cheryl) of Jacksonville, FL, and Deborah Hilton (Wayne) of Coatesville; five grandchildren, Matthew (Taylor), Dario (Tracy), Keara (Marcus), Kodi, and Jessica; nine great grandchildren, Chloe, Carson, Sienna, Maura, Kayla, Teaghan, Paisley, Graham, and Reed; and her sister, Dolores Doucette. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Bill Feathers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service celebrating Doris's life at 10:00am on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Cornerstone Fellowship, 101 Kylies Road, Coatesville PA, 19320. A visitation with the family will precede the service from 9:00am to 10:00am in the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Doris's name are requested to Cornerstone Fellowship, see address above.
