Donald Francis Kane, Sr., of Upper Darby, passed away on December 20, 2019. He was 83 years old. Born and raised in West Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John and Anna (McGuiness) Kane. He was also the beloved husband of Agatha (Lennon) Kane for 59 years.
Don was a 1954 graduate of St. Thomas More High School in Philadelphia and proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was also an avid fan of the Phillies and Eagles.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four children, Donald Kane, Jr. (Kathy), of Garnet Valley, Kevin Kane, of Los Angeles, Eileen Kane, of Philadelphia, and Denise Farrelly, of Ardmore; five grandchildren, Donald Kane, III (Meghan), James Kane (Stefanie), Bernadette Kane, Meghan Lindner, and Kaitlyn Farrelly; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Jack, Bobby, and Greg; and three sisters, Kathleen, Anne, and Dolores.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, December 27th from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Bernadette Church, 1035 Turner Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in Don's name are requested to the Cardiac Center at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, 3401 Civic Center Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19104,
