Dolores "Dee" Catherine Meyers, 82, of West Chester, passed away on All Saints Day, Nov. 1, 2015, surrounded by her family. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Ronald Davis and Helen Elizabeth (Bender) Thomas, and the beloved wife and soulmate of the late Robert Charles Meyers. Mrs. Meyers is survived by her daughter Kathleen D'Agostino, of Mansfield, TX, son John DeLuca (Terry), of Warrington, PA, son Thomas DeLuca (Carol), of West Chester, grandchildren, Michael (Dana), John (Julia), Denise (Terry), Sarah, Lucas, Holly, and Nick, brothers Buddy (Pam), Brian (Linda), and sister-in-laws, Pat and Eve, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones. She is predeceased by her first born son, Michael, brothers Ronald, Edward (June), James, Raymond, Robert and Frank. Dee loved life, but more importantly, she loved the people in it. She was happiest when she was able to put a smile on someone's face. She felt it was her mission in life to do that and to take care of others, especially those in need. She was also one of the most thankful and appreciative people you would want to meet, always making others feel special. She spent the last year of her life delivering newspapers, helping with Bingo, and visiting the sick where she lived. She touched more people's lives than anyone we have ever met. A Memorial Service will be held on Fri., Nov. 6, 2015 at 11:15am at Calvary Lutheran Church, 730 S. New St, W. Chester, PA. A visitation will precede the service from 10:30am to 11:15am at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Meyer's name to: American Macular Degeneration Foundation (AMDF), P.O. Box 515, Northampton, MA 01061-0515, (macular.org) or any charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to The Oliver H. Bair Co. (610) 449-8585.
