Obituary

Clara R. Parsons of Darby passed away on April 22, 2023.  She was 78 years old.  Born in Darby, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Etha (Sirmon) and William Stansberry Parsons, Sr.
Clara worked as a payroll clerk for General Electric until her retirement. She was also a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star and active with the Collingdale Senior Center.
She is survived by her brother, Robert C. Parsons of Maine; 19 nieces and nephews; and several adored family friends.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her two brothers, William S. and Howard R. Parsons; and sister, Frances E. Cox.
A graveside service will be held at 10am on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Clara's name are requested to the American Lung Association: https://lung.org/ donation .
