Charles Edward Harris, 69, passed away in his home on Saturday, April 25, 2015. He resided on the 5200 block of Wyalusing Avenue in Philadelphia, with the exception of the last few years of his life, during which he resided at Hayes Manor Retirement Residence in Philadelphia. Born in Philadelphia to the late Charles A. and Lucy C. (Mercer) Harris, Mr. Harris worked as a clerk for the United States Postal Service. He also served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Mr. Harris never married nor had any children, but is remembered fondly by his friends as being a kind, gentle man. He will be interred in Washington's Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 10:30 AM. Arrangements are by The Oliver H. Bair Funeral Home. (610) 449-8585
