Casey Dargan died on June 5, 2011 at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. Born and raised in North Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Carl and Minnie (Murphy) Dargan. Mr. Dargan was a very avid worker at many places before he settled at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he worked for many years. Mr. Dargan, or "Daddy" as his daughters called him, was a very funny man. He always knew how to make his friends and family laugh. His love for children made him a good provider, and an even better father. Daddy's life became tragic in 1995 when his two sisters, one brother and one brother-in-law were killed in a car accident. They were coming home from visiting their sister, Clara, in a nursing home, where she later died. Daddy had a stroke when he heard the news. He is predeceased by his daughter Cassie, his step-daughters Pat and Dolly, his son Leon and six of his siblings. He is survived by his daughter Shelly, his son Mark Casey, his step-daughters Nora, Tina, Marvella and Sherry, his step-son Oliver, his brother Carl, many grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
