Bertha Louise Straub, 92, of Doylestown, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2013 in Doylestown Hospital. Bertha was born in Philadelphia on October 18, 1920 to the late George and Marie (Fredericks) Gleisner and was the beloved wife of the late John M. Straub. Bertha was a 50-year member of the Women of the Moose Doylestown Chapter #125. She enjoyed counted cross-stitch and embroidery, and as a resident of Briarleaf Nursing and Convalescent Center, had fun playing trivia and bingo. She was an avid lover of animals and loved her kitty, Sapphire. Prior to residing at Briarleaf, Bertha lived in Center Square Towers, Doylestown, and appreciated many close friends and neighbors. She is survived by her step-children, John Wesley Straub (Jane) of Churchville and Harriet Hartley (Brian) of Benton. She will be missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services will be private for the family.
