Mrs. Beatrice "Bea" C. (Cicko) Showers, of Havertown, passed away at La Casa Assisted Living in Annapolis, Maryland on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. She was 96 years old. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Ralph Showers, who passed away on September 8, 2013. Born in Philadelphia on February 12, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Gaspar and Josephine (Godler) Cicko. Mrs. Showers studied education at the University of Pennsylvania where she received her Bachelor's Degree in 1938 and Master's Degree in 1939. She worked as a teacher in Philadelphia for many years. She is survived by her three daughters: Virginia White and husband Chris of Crownsville, MD; Janet Showers and husband Day Patterson of Naples, FL; and Carolin Showers of Norman, OK; her four grandchildren: Kristin White, Jennifer Harris and husband Joseph, Thanh and Tien Showers; and a great-grandson: John Henry Harris.
