Arthur Hirst Lee (Bill), of Orlando, Florida, passed away on June 2, 2021. He was 84 years old. Born May 23, 1937, in Birkenhead, England, he was the son of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Hirst) Lee. He was also the beloved husband of Susan (Yeager) Lee for nearly 50 years.

Bill was awarded a Mechanical Engineering Degree by Liverpool University and was hired in 1968 by Westinghouse Power Generation, Philadelphia, while working for Bristol Siddeley in England.

Bill met his wife, Sue, at a gathering of college graduates in the Philadelphia area. They were married in August of 1973 in Bala-Cynwyd. Their son, Geoff, was born in 1975. The family relocated to Florida in 1983 with Westinghouse.

Bill was interested in all things mechanical, and cars in particular. Before coming to America, he and friends attended the Le Mans race in Europe and later traveled together throughout the United Kingdom. Though separated by an ocean in later life, they remained close friends.

Keeping up with the world of sports was important to Bill. He especially enjoyed watching football and international tennis competitions and never totally gave up his support for Pennsylvania teams. He and Sue both played fairly competitive tennis.

Bill was a mechanical engineer with Westinghouse for 28 years and continued his career with Siemens Corporation for another five years before retiring. During this closing phase he worked as part of an award winning design team.

When their son, Geoff, was an early teen, Bill and Sue felt called to minister to international college students through friendship, hosting and helping with ESL tutoring where needed. Some of these friendships became a special part of their lives and, hopefully, will continue even beyond Bill's passing.

Bill was so happy to have a grandson when Dillon was born in 2012. Spending time with this special little boy was the highlight of every week for Bill and Sue. Blocks, Lego, puzzles, games, and more Lego… and on and on. Geoff and Ali are guiding him well.

Bill's church stood by him in his illness. There were many helping hands and caring hearts at the University Presbyterian Church (UPC Rouse Road).

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his son, Geoffrey David Lee (Ali), and grandson, Dillon, of Maitland, Florida; his sister, Ann Joyce Roberts of Birkenhead, and Joyce's two children, Hazel Pemberthy (Dave) of Wales and son Martin (Andrea) of Birkenhead. Zak Bruce, 17, and Sam, 11, are Martin and Andrea's sons. Thomas Isaac, 27, Jack William, 25, and Tamsen Alexandra, 21, are Hazel and Dave's Children.
