Anne Elizabeth (nee Binkley) Ozbekhan, of Philadelphia, passed away at Jefferson Hospital on Sunday, May 6, 2012. She was 93 years old. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she was formerly married to Paul Rand, who passed away on November 26, 1996, and for 46 years was the beloved wife of Hasan Ozbekhan, who passed away on February 12, 2007. Mrs. Ozbekhan was a graduate of the University of Chicago and the Illinois Institute for Technology where she studied with Mies van der Rohe, and was an accomplished architect, painter, and writer. She is survived by her daughter Catherine Rand, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and two grandsons, Troy and Brody Gallaher. A memorial service for Mrs. Ozbekhan will be held at a later date.
