Alexander J. Augunas of Wynnewood passed away on July 25, 2025 at the age of 86. He was the son of the late Alexander Anthony and Rose (Jupin) Augunas and beloved husband of the late Ann Lorraine (Galvin) Augunas.

Alex was a member of Monsignor Bonner High School's first graduating class.  He attended St. Joseph's University, where he played basketball, and proudly served in the United States Navy from 1962-1964.  He also served in the reserves for four years. He had a successful career in advertising for TV Guide and coached golf at St. Joe's.  In his spare time, Alex and his wife, Ann, enjoyed travelling and ventured on more than 50 cruises together.

Alex is survived by his three sons, Alan Augunas (Christine) of Springfield, David Augunas of Upper Darby, and Brad Augunas of Wynnewood; three grandchildren, Meghan, Evan, and Zachary; and three sisters, Joan, Dorothy "Dottie", and Marilyn.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 9:00am to 9:50am at St. Colman Catholic Church, 11 Simpson Road, Ardmore, PA 19003.  A funeral Mass will follow at 10am.  Interment with military honors will be in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
